I have been reading the body for the baja and was wondering if you all could help me with some stuff??

    1) how much does the body flex when you run, take it off, put it on???

    2) Who makes the carbon bodys?

    3) I was thinking it the body has been made of carbon then it could be made of fiberglass for about 1/4 the cost. That way you can paint them any way you want.

Has anyone thought about making a mold/or made a mold/ of the body and making the bodys out of fiberglass?

    Just an Idea
    Mike

Plastic body if taken off carefull will last a long time. I pop the front of the full body up first after pulling the rear of the piece off the tabs

    Carbon kit about $300.00
    Fiberglass REALLY heavy

I think it would be a shame to paint over that carbon fiber body and most of the guys with them dont even run with them on. If the guy that lays the carbon bodys tryed 1/2 OZ clothe I bet they will close to the same in weight and you could paint it any way you want or even do some decal work.

How much do one of the carbon bodys weigh?

    Thanks a lot
    Mike

If you're running with the lights still attached then you will need some flexibility to twist the shell off the body.....................unless i am doing it completely wrong :-)

Don't you find that time consuming or fiddly?

Not at all, I just use a pair of needle nose pliers and it takes about 15-30 seconds

yup, I just made sure to leave enough slack so I could move them over the cage towards the air filter. I noticed with my stock body if you try to bend it too much at that area the body can crack at that spot. That was when I decided to do it this way.

OK, that makes sense, must admit my body started cracking at the inner corners but I sorted that with lines of super glue and that stopped the cracks spreading

Afraid i didn't leave enough slack to allow me to do what you do, live and learn, live and learn.................
