Thread: QORLS Bash and Camp Trip

  1. #1 Default QORLS Bash and Camp Trip
Just cut and paste the info here

    Trip information.
Location: Glendon camping ground-west of warwick-2.5 hrs from brisbane.
google glendon camping ground for more details, pictures etc.
Date-09/04/11 and 10/04/11 camping ground is accesable by 2wd car.
Brads plan is to leave early saturday morning and come home sunday arvo-unless some people want to go for extra days etc-please advise brad of this so he can make the bookings etc.

The owner, russell, apparently has a couple of nitro cars himself so he understands the type of terrain we require.
He said that we could race on the golf cource and that with enough notice he could mow it low etc and maybe put some dirt on and make the odd jump etc.
There is also the motorcross track and dam wall to drive on.

Any exhaust is allowed and noise can start from 7.30am till dark so let these cars rip and impress the other campers-there maybe some campers from brisbane that might buy a large scale car when they get back after seeing ours-just maybe they will want to join our club. Keep your eye out for potentional members and excite them about the sport. Lets make qorls the best and most wanted club to be in, in austraila.

April is the 5th lowest rain fall out of 12 months for this area so hopefully it will be ok when we go.
There are hot showers and flushing toilets-no extra charge.
Fireplace for every camp site with bbq plate and camp oven facility.
Brad will bring his large tarp for group sitting under at night etc as well as some witches hats to set up a race cource etc.

Brad will also bring a whistle for a nomitated safety officer to blow in the event of danger as we may not have any insurance out here for hitting cars, kids or any endangered animal species they may wander, walk or drive on to our drive area.

The phone number for the place if you get lost is ph 07 46674756

    things to do:
    4wheel driving tracks
bird watching-like that will happen with all the cars screaming around.
    Fishing.
    Bush walking.
    Golf.
Gold panning-you may find enough to buy that hurrax you always wanted.

Prices-$25.00 per adults- powered sites per night(extra adult is $10.00)
we will probably book in the unpowered sites-keep everyone together-cost $18.00 per 2 adults(extra adult is $9.00)
    children are $3.50 per night
trail bikes are $15.00 per day if you have one.

*************please note there is no eftpos-bring cash******************

please notify brad on-work from 7.30am till 5.30 week days 38848603, any other times on home 38093993 or mobile 0411623466.
Please let brad know by sunday 13/03/11 if possible so he can book park.
Meeting place and time for trip to be advised-stay tuned.

    Thanks
    Tom

sounds like an awesome weekend, only 7500miles as the crow flies...guess if I left now in my boat I'd make it in time as long as I had a super tanker to refuel me along the way and calm seas
make sure you get some video put together.

and I guess it depends on what type of birds you're watching...feathered or bikini'd

Daniel and I, we have a secret beast to unleash, watch-out wild life! The beast is coming.
Brad you will have to build bigger trailer so we can fit it in. It runs on home brew. It performs best to the sound of “Roxanne”

Ahh, Mr. Pit King. I'm gonna bet he pulls his engine head off at least 4 times.
