Thread: Help removing chassis screws ...

  1. #1 Default Help removing chassis screws ...
    Chris Guest
I need to remove my Baja engine and separate the 2 chassis halves but I am finding the screws the hold the engine and the 2 chassis halves together extremely difficult to remove. They are not willing to budge in the least.

Any tips or help how to remove these screws??

use the short side of the T wrench that came with the car. just make sure you wrap a towel around the long handle or it will leave your hand ringing when it breaks lose.

You can also use a soldering iron to heat the bolts up to break the thread lock.

I did the same on Brian1977's. He could not get his out and wanted to put a carbon fiber piece on. I guess I am Brian's personal mechanic.....
